Illinois District Delays Start Of School After Positive COVID-19 Tests

The Rockridge School District is delaying the start of classes after four people tested positive for COVID-19 coronavirus.

Classes were supposed to start Tuesday, but the school board held an emergency meeting and decided to keep the district closed until August 31st.

The district says they will use the A/B Hybrid Model when the school year starts. That means students from the same family or household will attend school in person on the same day and school will start at 8:05 and end at 1:40 p.m.,

This week's missed classes will be made up as emergency days and next week's classes will be held online.
